Once upon a time, intelligence was rare and rewarded.
Now it’s everywhere — and completely useless.

We’ve built a civilization where everyone is “informed”, no one is thinking, and idiocy has been institutionalized as virtue.
Not only tolerated — celebrated.

The problem isn’t that people are stupid.
The problem is that they’re systemically stupid — and convinced they’re not.

We’ve turned intelligence into entertainment.
We tweet opinions like gospel, repost infographics as proof, and equate noise with nuance.

We are living in the age of viral stupidity — a hyperconnected ecosystem of self-reinforcing blindspots.

INFORMATION ≠ INTELLIGENCE
We confuse access with insight.
Anyone can Google.
But almost no one questions the search results.

Data has become religion.
Narrative has become scripture.
And those who question either — are labeled as threats to “public safety”.
We’ve created a cognitive caste system, where surface-level knowledge creates the illusion of understanding — and punishes those who dive deeper.

SYSTEMIC STUPIDITY LOOKS LIKE THIS:
Believing institutions over direct observation
Confusing politeness with morality
Mistaking conformity for intelligence
Projecting emotion as truth
Delegating personal thinking to consensus

This isn’t chaos.
It’s orchestrated dullness — a collective tranquilization masked as progress.

THE ROOT: FEAR OF AGENCY
Why has stupidity become the dominant code of culture?
Because real intelligence requires responsibility.
To be truly intelligent is to carry weight.
To be accountable.
To see the machine — and still choose your own direction.
But most people don’t want that.
They want safety.
They want comfort.
And most of all — they want permission.
And so, stupidity becomes the escape:
a clever little mechanism that says:

“I didn’t know.
I was just following what everyone else said.”

And with that, the circle is complete.
The system protects itself.
IN THE AGE OF IDIOTS, THINKING IS SUBVERSION
You want to be intelligent today?
Don’t read more.
Observe more.
Challenge what feels too good to be true.
And most of all — disconnect from the echo.
Because in a world designed for mass stupidity,
lucidity becomes revolution.

And not everyone is meant to lead it.
But some of us can’t help but see.
